okay..why i resigned & felt that the job was not worth it..well, here goes..many people would think that i'm a spoil brat & can't handle the pressure & stress..but i honestly don't care!!! if people had to go through what i did & feel/think from my point of view, some would or wouldn't understand it..totally up to any one's thoughts..i should let people try to be in my shoes for that 12days i worked..
hmmm, reasons for quitting my 1st full time job;
1) the working hours are insane!!! i have to be at the office before 8am for the meeting & whatever else laa kan..which usually last until 10 or 1015am..then head off to whichever site/working place for that particular week..prepare everything then have a 30min early lunch..then work till 8 or 9pm..as far as i remember, 1st few days i finished at 730pm..the latest i have reached home is 1040pm!!!
i only take a few 5-10mins break..only 3 or 4 times i got to eat a very late lunch/early dinner which last about 20mins or so..ok, so from my point = work starts at 8am till 830pm/9pm..monday to saturday..u do the math..but i haven't worked on sundays before, lucky me, hahaha ;p
**[forgot to mention that i do sales & marketing at shopping malls, i don't sell things or credit cards, mind u, but i have to get people to sign up as members with wwf - world wildlife fund - which was ok with me coz it's charity k, that's one of the reasons why i took the job]**
2) my health was quickly affected..not juz because of the long working hours but also the journey from my house to office (morning takes an hour, while at night is 45mins)..the real deal is my legs & back..why? coz i stand all the time..starting from the second i arrive at the office..the meetings are held in a big room where everyone stands..yes, we stand, not sit on chairs or on the floor or lean against the wall/table..imagine that..for 2hrs!!
then after the early lunch, we usually start work around 11am nonstop till the end of the day..i even stand during my short breaks!! well, sometimes i sit tho, hehehe..[yelah, i only get like 5-10mins for a quick puff & if the place has a place to sit i'm lucky]..sometimes i don't eat at all, juz drink [i must make sure my early lunch can keep me full till night]..
& we can't sit at the booth to rest our feet coz it's the company's so-called system/policy/whatever bullshit..u know like having a good impression, not slacking on the job, have to show discipline to customers & bla bla bla, not wanting us employees look like those credit card people (no offense k, that was stated as an example by my employers)..seriously, i stand on my 2 "steel" legs for a total of [plus minus] = 11hrs every fucking day i work!!!
by the 3rd day, my backbone was juz crying out for some mercy..it felt like it was gonna snap anytime i make a drastic movement!! my feet were numb & the soles were sooo red & sore, everyday it was bengkak k..i was really concerned about the long term effect, no matter how many litre of anlene milk & tons of supplement i take, it will surely not be enough..
i think if i didn't resign, in a month i could have killed my bones & nerves!!! plus i would be walking weirdly, ouch!!! when i started to have a fever, it was the final call to 'quit'..sooo not worth being sick & the possibility of destroying my bones!!!
3) i didn't agree with the company's policy/system of sales..at 1st, it didn't really bother me coz i had never had an issue regarding it..but when i did, it totally pissed me off!!! ok so, the sales goes to however said hello 1st to the client/customer/person, which means that if u said hello 1st but that 'customer' ignores u but then i got to chat up with that 'customer' & get him/her to sign up, it won't be my sale, it's yours..even if i was the one who did all the 'work/sweet talking/persuading'..u think it's fair??? u tell me!!
i didn't want to create a scene (means start a fight, we were already arguing a bit tho), but since i'm the newbie & the person who i 'ripped off' was a senior, i juz handed it over..so that senior got the commission for free, without a 'thank u' to me..geeesh!!!
it's totally logic that it should have been my sale coz i was able to have that 'customer' sign up..right??? don't u think it's a damn stupid policy?!?! why should u get it when your tactics were not effective?!? really made me angry!! it was crazy!! i became crazy..u know why that senior was also crazy for that 1 sale??? next reason will tell u why...
